Privacy Notice
The short version
printinky.fun is a static web page. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no email list, no cookies from us, no analytics, no trackers and no advertising. We do not ask for your name, and we do not want it.
We do not run a database and we do not store anything about you on a server. The only thing the Site saves is a record of your agreement to the terms, and it saves that in your own browser, on your own device, where we cannot see it.
The blockchain is a different matter. Everything you do on it is public, permanent, and outside anyone's control, including ours.
Who this is from
Printinky's is made by one person, referred to here as "the creator", "we" or "us". This notice covers the website at printinky.fun. There is no company behind it, no staff, and no support desk.
What the Site collects
| Thing | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Your agreement signature, made of your wallet address, the message you signed, the signature and the date | Saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. Never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and you will be asked to sign again. |
| Your wallet address while you use the Site | Held in the page while it is open, so it can show your printers. Not collected, not logged, not stored by us. |
| Server logs from the web host, which typically include your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time | Kept by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, under their own policy. We do not read them to identify or profile anyone. |
That is the entire list. There is no contact form, no email list and no sign-up, so nothing about you reaches the creator at all. There is no know-your-customer process here, no identity check, no phone number, no address, no payment details, and no profile of you anywhere.
What the Site does not do
- No cookies are set by the Site.
- No analytics, no page-view tracking, no session recording, no heat maps, no fingerprinting.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no retargeting, no pixels.
- Your data is never sold, rented, traded or shared for marketing. There is nothing to sell.
- No attempt is made to link your wallet address to your identity, or to follow you across other sites.
Other companies that see something
Using the Site necessarily involves a few other people's servers. We do not control what they keep.
- The web host. The Site is served by a hosting provider, which keeps ordinary server logs as described above.
- Google Fonts. The Site loads its typefaces from Google. Your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Blockchain node providers. To show live numbers, the Site sends read requests to a public Robinhood Chain node. That node sees your IP address and what you asked for.
- Your wallet. Your wallet extension or app is made by someone else and has its own privacy policy. It may see the sites you visit and the transactions you make.
- Marketplaces and explorers we link to are run by other people, under their own terms and their own privacy policies.
None of these are ours, and this notice does not cover them. If their data practices matter to you, read their policies, and consider a VPN and your own node.
The blockchain is public and permanent
This part is important and often misunderstood. Every mint, feed, reboot, claim and transfer you make is recorded on a public blockchain. Anyone can read it, copy it, index it and keep it forever.
- Blockchain records are not private, and never become private later.
- Nobody can edit or delete them, including the creator and including you. There is no right of erasure that can be exercised against a blockchain.
- If your wallet address is ever linked to your name anywhere else, whether by an exchange, a domain name, a social post or a friend, everything that address has ever done can be linked to you too.
Think about this before you connect a wallet you care about.
Why we use the little we have
Server logs exist to keep the Site running and to spot abuse. Your locally stored agreement record exists so the Site knows you have accepted the terms and does not ask you again on every visit. That is all, and nothing is used for anything else.
Legal basis, for people in the UK, the EU and similar places
Where the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or a similar law applies, the only processing here is whatever the web host does in the ordinary course of serving a page and keeping it secure, which rests on legitimate interests. We do not rely on consent for cookies, because we set none. We do not process special categories of personal data, and we do not process anything for marketing, profiling or automated decisions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data about you, and to complain to a data protection authority.
In practice the creator holds nothing about you, so these mostly resolve themselves:
- The agreement record is on your own device. Clear your browser's site data for printinky.fun and it is gone, immediately and completely, without having to ask anyone.
- Server logs are held by the hosting provider under their own retention schedule, and are never linked to any identity by us.
- On-chain records cannot be deleted by anyone, as explained above.
There is no database to write to and no account to close, because neither exists.
How long things are kept
Your agreement record stays in your browser until you clear it or the terms version changes. Server logs follow the hosting provider's own schedule, typically a short period. The creator keeps no records of visitors at all.
Children
The Site is not for anyone under 18. Nothing is collected from anyone, so nothing is collected from a child either.
Do Not Track
The Site does not track you, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing about how it behaves.
Where data goes
The hosting provider, the font provider and the node providers operate servers in various countries, so a request from your browser may be handled outside the country you live in. Using the Site means accepting that, since a static page cannot control where the internet routes a request.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and holds no user database, which removes most of what there is to breach. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of anything transmitted over the internet.
Nobody from Printinky's will ever ask for your seed phrase or your private key, ask you to sign a transaction in a direct message, or send you a link to a "verification" or "claim" page. Anyone doing any of that is trying to rob you, whatever name they use.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes and the new version is posted here. Continuing to use the Site after that means you accept it.
Questions
There is no inbox to write to and no support desk. If a contact channel is ever opened, it will be linked from printinky.fun. The Terms of Use sit alongside this notice, and the two should be read together.
